Walker Hayes celebrated his wife Laney’s birthday with his six children this week. On Monday, the “Fancy Like” singer posted a smiling photo of himself, his children, his wife, and a cookie cake from the birthday celebration. Hayes also wished his spouse a happy birthday in the caption.
“Happy birthday to the queen,” wrote the singer. “She love Jesus and she fine. Best baby mama I ever had.”
Hayes is currently riding a career high after going viral with his song “Fancy Like” and the accompanying TikTok dance. The song and dance exploded in June after Hayes posted a video of himself and his 15-year-old daughter dancing to the song. The popularity of the video shot the song to the top of the iTunes All-Genre chart. It also resulted in countless TikTok users recreating the viral dance on their own profiles. This week, Hayes posted another video of him and his daughter doing the dance, but this time, they are humorously fighting over who created the dance.
“When people ask us who made up the fancy like dance,” wrote Hayes alongside the video.
Hayes also announced on social media this week that “Fancy Like” has reached No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. To celebrate, the singer posted another “Fancy Like” video with his team.
“When your team rolls your yard and tells you your song is #1 ON BILLBOARD HOT COUNTRY…you do the dance,” wrote Hayes.
