Single/Video Review: AniMaze X: “Strawberry Fields Forever”

“Strawberry Fields Forever” is considered a textbook psychedelic rock tune. Paul’s melatonin, George’s Indian harp, and John’s inventive lyrics make for an experimental masterpiece. This song is about an actual location which according to John had strong surrealistic and psychedelic overtones. AniMaze X is spot-on mastering the vibe, the, the energy and psychedelic experience, only they have added glam and sparkle of their own.

The band, the illegitimate child of Alice Cooper and Mickey Mouse, is a heavy metal band redefined with a twist. AniMaze X is a creative, strategic and musical design inaugurated by members of D-metal Stars/ AniMetal USA. Their innovative focus concentrates on a wide variety of musical themes including superheroes, cartoons, Broadway musicals and movie soundtracks showcasing live Metal performances with a theatrical style production. Members include lead singer Mike Vescera, Rudy Sarzo on bass (From Ozzy Osbourne), John Bruno on guitar, and BJ Zampa on the drums.

The psychedelic video that accompanies the single is a fusion of insanity, chaos, and the boy with Kaleidoscope eyes. It’s colorful, fun and reminiscent of a time of social, musical and artistic change influenced by LSD and other drugs of that nature. The video is bold and surrounds itself by contrasting colors and hallucinogenic splendor.

The voice of Mike Vescera is perfectly fit for the song while the band carries the instrumentals with honor and dignity. The band leaves a trail of glitter behind while dazzling their fans and followers as they echo the past….
